The state’s largest niche publishing company is giving This summer begins the eighth year of its popular internship “The Publisher: The Ultimate Internship,” a nine-week program in which six Arkansas college students studying all corners of the publishing world will work side-by-side with publishing professionals in their respective fields. At the end of the program, the students will present their team project to the ABPG staff. Based on the presentation and other criteria, ABPG will choose two students who will win cash bonuses of $1,000 and $500 respectively. The National Nanotechnology Infrastructure Network (NNIN) invites interested college students to apply for the summer program. Approximately 80 positions at 14 major universities will be filled. The summer interns will work on nanotechnology projects, using the advanced equipment and process resources of NNIN. The program provides a high level of support from faculty, mentors, and staff to assure a successful experience. The program is most suitable for students who have completed their sophomore or junior years in science and who are interested in a science career. Women, minorities, students from smaller non-research institutions, and students with limited research experience are encouraged to apply.
